Jesus Is The Son Of God! Buddha Was, Ho Hum, Just A Man

There have been occasions when I was told that "Jesus is the Son of God and the Buddha was just a man, because the Buddha is a false prophet."

Ok, I respect the freedom of everyone to express their views. I also know how the views and opinions are formed and how entrenched. We are, after all, a product of our experiences, environment, heritage, culture, intelligence, education, education ... and Buddhism, past lives and karma!

But if I stay silent in this case, perhaps my silence be misconstrued as an agreement and it would be dishonest. So here is my opinion, for what it's worth.

First, the benefits of meditation, which is the main Buddhist practice is unfolding across America. Stress reduction, mental health, physical healing - is the form of meditation into the mainstream of America is developing. All about the deeper aspects of meditation or spiritual development, so far has been swept under the carpet. Most people consider meditation to be a little more than a cheap, do it yourself treatment.

In a Christian nation, this is expected, but regardless, I would like to see miracles of meditation - for example, be able to walk on water!

History has shown much of Christ's life. What is known is based on a few letters of a few, perhaps the only one entitled to a student, and this occurred for at least 60 or more years after the death of Christ! More surprisingly, as part of the alleged known to cover only a few months to 3 years of Christ's life, depending on what students think. When was the other 30 or so years?

Buddhist monks were traveling through the trade routes to Jerusalem long before the birth of Christ. Have contributed to the region. They also meditate, and one of the joint powers of meditation mentioned in ancient Buddhist scriptures have the power to walk on water! Including the power to heal, the attitude of compassion and forgiveness, and the idea of "Sangha", donuts, or group lessons for children to live together, and wandered in the countryside - all at a Buddhist.

Apart from the mention of Christ's birth (a birth story very close copy of the story of the birth of Buddha), Jesus is gone!

L. Michael White - Professor of Classics and Director of the Religious Studies Program at the University of Texas at Austin, says:

"From the historical point of view, that shows us the life of Jesus is very, very limited in terms of what you read the Gospel. His real career may be something less than a year and perhaps little as a few months while the Gospel of John's career is almost three long years. And then there's the kind of historical disagreements between the Gospels themselves. They range from how his birth occurred the same day where he was executed, and even the kind of teachings and miracles where he spent his entire career. Accordingly, we begin to see that the Gospels themselves are not as useful as historical information that we could have the hope.

Christ really live? Probably, but Marshall J. Gauvin says:

"What then is the evidence that Jesus Christ lived in this world as a man who the authorities relied upon to prove the reality of Christ is the four Gospels of the New Testament -?. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, the Gospels, and these alone tell the story of his life now, we know nothing of Matthew. Mark, Luke and John, as well as what is said in the Gospels. Moreover, the Gospels themselves say they wrote these men. They are not called "The Gospel Matthew "or" The Gospel of Mark, "but" the Gospel of Matthew, "" The Gospel of Mark, "" the Gospel of Luke, "and the" Gospel according to John. "No man does not know who wrote a single line in one of the Gospels. None of the people do not know when they are written, or what."

So there are legitimate questions if you have open. If Christ really lived, and if one of the legends are true, which is controversial, I think he was a Buddhist closet!

So many suspected of Christ's life alongside Buddhism, the comparison can not be ignored. If anyone is interested, the Internet is filled with legitimate comparisons based on historical facts. The Gospels were written by scholars early Roman Church, which borrowed heavily, if not exclusively from other traditions to create a religion designer? Maybe.

Of course, most Christians do not want to hear all this and a little angry in an automatic reaction to any criticism of their beliefs. This is certainly understandable and I'm sure this article's comments reflected that anger, because religion is mutually reinforcing. This means that information is only enjoyable process. Dissidents information that may cause doubt that arises is ignored or discredited as a heresy! But it is a fact that truth is always the winner in the race against time?

When a person is indoctrinated at a young age to believe that there is only one Son of God, Jesus, you will naturally reject Buddhism as a sort of cult minor, because the Buddha was a son of God, but simply a person like you and me who found a way to become enlightened and learned so transparent that way for 45 years

Looking deeper, however, had the idea of "Son of God" come first? Was it a creation of the Roman Church, who made a "son of God" Manhunt for the force-fulfill a prophecy of the Old Testament a Savior - and Jesus as well? What a way to (pardon the expression descriptive) that "suck people in." When you have religion is the one and only "son of God" that other religions would be less relevant? Brilliant!

The proof of what Christ had said, and Done is low, and certainly strengthen the sense. Read the story of Muhammad, or Joseph Smith Jr., the founder of the Mormon Church, and understand the power of self-reinforcing. People really believe in these stories of the undisputed fact, as Christians believe in Christ legends, and everyone will fight to the death to defend their faith.

However, the Buddha said: "Do not believe everything I say, unless you can prove it true for yourself." As Americans, it is not our philosophy at all (except perhaps, but politics and religion!) Buddha went on to say further that the religion of Buddhism is nothing more than a raft get a river of human discontent. After crossing the river, religion can be abandoned because the mind will be changed to the extent that goodness and virtue has become a natural way of life.

I do not know about you, but these statements resonated deeply in my heart and I began to trust what the Buddha said, and I heard, the more I saw things real for me, the more I starts for the first time in my life, see things from a totally different perspective. It was a taste of true freedom that my heart never knew existed.

One might understandably ask, how do we know the scriptures reflect what the Buddha actually said? Unlike the fable of Christ, where nobody has a clue where the Gospel has come to (God's hand I think), the author of over 100, maybe 190 years after the death of Christ, and in greek, not Hebrew, the language Jesus, the Buddha's teachings had great cry, word for word, 500 Buddha statues of the Enlightened monks almost immediately after his death - in Pali, the language of the Buddha. These are the same songs, the same that you hear in every Buddhist temple today.

To return to the life of Christ, where they spend the "lost year?" He passed his teens and twenties in the East the practice of Buddhist meditation and Hindu and empowerment, such as walking on water, which were acquired together in the East?

It was then tightened contained within the limits and the cave to escape and spend the rest of the year to the east until it died a natural death? Maybe. It was certainly safer than the researcher's true of Rome! There are indications that this has happened. Of course, the resurrection of the dead certainly sounds much better than hiding out of town!

We only know for a fact that has disappeared for almost 30 years, and taught only a year or so, perhaps only a few months before he became politically involved with the local government.

We also see that his followers have no idea what he was trying to teach them, because he was teaching a course on different cultural and religious (Buddhism?) And do not typically Jewish Middle East, the Old Testament teaching authority. The authors of the Gospels clearly got it all wrong because they have no idea what is clear-current against the confusion found in the Bible.

The Buddha did not claim to be the Son of God, and that said things like, "Do not believe what I say, unless you can prove to yourself:" Buddhism is a personal practice and lifestyle where we clear our karma. God does not save us out. We made kamma, cancels it.

So, one might ask: "But where are the miracles, we need to believe in miracles!" Buddhist scriptures are full of wonders to perform the Buddha and his monks. But Buddhists are impressed by this. I'm impressed by what meditation has done for them personally.

For example, some people see their past lives, read minds, see the different areas of life that the kingdom of God, be in two places at once, heal people, the fate of the people, disappearing into the ground and much more.

In fact, meditation is an experience where you can be the essence of truth and divinity. Yes, the deity. And although meditation is explained in simple terms at the beginning, the deeper levels essentially involve different states of mind that can not be attributed to the word daily. It's indescribable. The power of meditation is so powerful that people are transformed physically (well-being and health), mental (creativity and intelligence) and spiritually (such as meditation deepens, the future life improves until the target illumination cancels all future destinations and kingdoms. So we never released. This is the "great" miracle.

Enlightenment is a sophisticated state of mind, not miraculously have established a god or a savior, but a result of your own efforts to see through the illusion of material existence. This goes far beyond the realms of God, including the creator gods, the Asura kingdoms, the human kingdoms, the animal kingdom, ghost and hell realms.

This is religion at its maximum, and nobodies like you and like me can do. That's the beauty of the Buddha as an ordinary human being who has improved dramatically. We have faith that we can do as well. We have no set in a supreme being in the trial of the knee bows down to wait - we take care of our own destiny. We sat back and wait for God's grace, we can make our own grace.

Become a proactive, dynamic, not crawling, waiting for the flyer. It is not the American way of business?
