Who Is Jesus Christ?

Jesus Christ is the most important person in world history. Several books have been written about Jesus than anyone else. Despite being born into a working class family and being executed as a criminal, Jesus Christ has had a major influence on the world than anyone else in history.

Jesus Christ is considered the founder of the Christian religion. His first followers were Jews of Palestine from the first century. Palestine was part of the Roman Empire and was home to the Jewish nation.

The name Jesus was common in ancient Palestine (this means that God saves). His father, Joseph, a carpenter, and probably even Jesus learned the trade from his father. We do not know much about the childhood of Jesus. Not being an important figure after his death, contemporary historians have not bothered to write about it. But Jesus is mentioned by several historians, after his followers, he said, rose from the dead.

We have many details about the three years of Jesus' ministry, because it was recorded in the Gospels. The Gospels are historical documents written by the disciples of Jesus, shortly after his death.

The name Christ comes from the Greek form of the Hebrew word Messiah. There is no other name but the title, so Jesus Christ.

Where and how were you born? Luke (one of the authors of the Gospel), Jesus was born in Bethlehem, a small town near Jerusalem. Traditionally, Jesus was born in a cave, but researchers are divided on the kind of place it was. It 'was certainly a place where they were kept animals, but it was not unusual for the animals are kept indoors at this time.

Where we did not question the Gospel accounts, it was a very humble birth in difficult circumstances.

What did he do?

We're starting to hear about Jesus when I was about thirty years. What seems at first glance to be a popular figure among the several hundred followers, and where thousands of people gathered to listen. The initial enthusiasm of the people seems to shrink when they begin to understand the nature of his teaching. When Jesus entered Jerusalem for the Passover the people hail him as more of their king, but at the end of the week, are demanding to be executed. His followers then declare that Jesus rose from the dead.

Jesus spent most of his time to educating people about what he called the kingdom of God. I wanted people to understand the nature of a loving God who is to help people find meaning in their lives now and the promise of a better life after death. Much is made of love and forgiveness.

Jesus taught in parables - stories with a spiritual meaning. Not everyone understands what Jesus was saying, but it seems that Jesus intended that way.

To show that Jesus had authority to say what he did, he often works wonders. Most of the miracles were the miracles of healing. The greatest miracles that Jesus performed was to raise people from the dead.

How did he die?

Jesus was crucified as a common criminal. It 'been the practice for the Romans to crucify criminals. This required the torture of criminals, and then nailed to a wooden cross as a public spectacle. The crucifixion is described in the most cruel execution has never been used. Who has seen first hand is described in horrific conditions imaginable, and each of the ancient world was disgusting.

After his death, Jesus was placed in a stone tomb. That was claimed by his followers on Sunday after his death, Jesus rose from the dead.

Why keep a Christian?

Christians believe that Jesus claimed to be God. How did Jesus speaks of himself, has done wonders, and the authorities said, all point to Jesus claims to be God himself. The argument must be reconciled and the belief in one God, and this led to the idea of the Trinity, which was later formalized in the creed of the early Christians.

Because Christians believe that Jesus is God, chose to follow Jesus' teachings about life and death. If Christians are right, then it would have profound implications for everyone.
